Event: Log skidder for ATV
Date: 03/03/2014
Description: I built a simple log skidder for my ATV. It's very simple and easy to build. It also just takes about 5 mins and you can dissaemble it to store it to carry it to a remote site. The axles are just round stock studs. The wheels came off a small boat trailer. The 'nubs' on top of the rails is to prevent the logs from sliding into the wheels and also gives me a place to run the chain through.
IMPORTANT NOTE- The wheels are located 'inside' the frame so as I'm trailering out of the woods, the frame will protect the wheels if I come to close to a tree or rock.
