Tip on fighting back:
When a solicitor calls and requests Mr. Your Name, gasp and choke. Then get very quiet for a few seconds. Then manage to choke out that the person requested died the day before yesterday, a suicide. Then the fun really begins. Berate the solicitor for calling in your time of greif. Lay into them. Think about the countless hours wasted on the phone listening to these people and you'll sound convincing. When you've had enough and you feel better, let them off the phone. I don't know if that stops solicitations from that company forever, but MCI hasn't called my house since 1995.
