Other Notes: The Cedar House Restaurant is also a hotel. It has good security with very friendly security guards. Everyone walks through a metal detector and there is plenty of space between the street and the actually restaurant.

The court yard looks like and Americana highway motel from the 70’s. The restaurant is a huge open room and very unique in its layout. There is a pool table for some reason right next to the restaurant, I found it a little weird, but not completely disruptive.

The service is friendly but slow. In fact, there were times we felt abandoned at our table as the server was completely gone for long periods of time.

The food is, of course, Lebanese, but they also have “Italian” written on the sign outside, but I didn’t find any Italian dishes in the menu. The menu did have a very unique “section/sub-section” layout to it. Instead of numbering all the dishes in order, each group of items was a number and the subsections were the items. So for example, all the hot appetizers were 4.1 to 4.X.

The food was delicious and the price wasn’t that bad. The big problem here is that all three of the Lebanese restaurants in Kabul are of excellent quality, so the scale is pretty skewed to the high end.

The bathrooms were clean and well stocked. The dining experience overall was enjoyable.

Bottom line, if you have plenty of time to eat, and you have already tried the other two Lebanese Restaurants in Kabul, then try the Cedar House.
