Other Notes: NKAIA’s DFAC just turned over to KBR from Supreme. I was lucky enough to be there on the first day that KBR was in control.

The line was long (the other DFAC was shut down due to electrical problems.) The service was friendly and surprisingly enough, it wasn’t locals serving food. Nor was it the third country nationals from Indian, Pakistan, or Nepal that is so common. It was 3 people from Great Britain. I don’t know how they ended up on a serving line, but my guess is that it is only for a short time.

The food was OK. It doesn’t live up to traditional military DFAC standards (which is quite high.) I am guessing that it’s only a matter of time for them to work out the kinks and make it a great DFAC. Also, NKAIA is building a new DFAC that looks very nice. I can’t wait to try it out and review it!

Oh, one unforgivable problem...
