Other Notes: The Flower Street Café is in a class of restaurants that has very stiff competition. So it is already at a disadvantage as this category is pretty heavily weighted.

The security is very good. Armed guards, sally port, set back from the road, everything you would expect.

Once inside, it is very cozy (and warm.) There are separate rooms for different dining experiences. In our room was standard tables and a nice little pot belly stove. In other rooms, there were nice cushioned benches for a more relaxed experience.

One noticeable issue with the décor, it’s only about 90% in each room. Here there is room for improvement. There was plenty of extra reading materials and WiFi which is a great plus in Kabul.

The menu was all encompassing for a brunch. There was a “Kabul Egg” special that was REALLY good. It was the only place we have been to that had a local meal in its brunch lineup.

The bathroom was usable, but not very nice. It was an unfinished concrete closet with a sink and toilet.

There is a nice patio area to use, which again, is very nice in Kabul.(Pictured below)

Overall, the Flower Street Café is a pretty unremarkable place. It had good food and good prices, but not much else. I would recommend trying it, at least once.
