Other Notes: I have to admit, I love a good buffet. It seems that Indian restaurants are traditionally buffets. So it was no surprise to find one in Kabul. Located at the top of the City Center Mall, you not only get a great meal, but you can dine while looking over the downtown Kabul area.

The buffet is incredibly well stocked, and it does something that most buffets don’t do but should…They label each item!

They have different types of breads, chicken dishes, lamb dishes, rice dishes, etc. There is no reason to leave this place without being full.

Then, there is the salad and desert table. Complete with mousses, puddings, fruits, and about 10 more items that I couldn’t identify, but where delicious!

Whether you need a break from shopping or you want a great Indian meal, the Shamiana can’t be beat.
