Other Notes: Well today was a day of new discovery. The Gandomak Bar was a disappointment in an earlier visit, but I figured that the restaurant deserved its own review. So here it is, and is it good!

The deco in the restaurant is excellent. If you didn’t know any better, you would believe that you were in any English B&B. The food selection is English right down the line. It was a prefect place for a Friday brunch. They even have a real pizza oven.

I went down the menu and tried just about everything. The selection of cheese was even English (see picture below.) The food was outstanding. Even the bacon was cooked more appropriately (not easy to find in a Muslim country.) The bill was very reasonable.

A really nice touch is the “gift shop” set up when you walk-in. But instead of being able to buy just a few books, tee-shirts, and bumper stickers, you can buy, fully functioning rifles and war sabers! See photo below!

On the Pizza quest, if you love thin crust pizza, Gandomak delivers. It's the best thin crust in Kabul.

Overall, it’s a great find. I hear their steaks are the best in town. I’ll have to come back and try them!
