Other Notes: A New Low for Kabul.

Everest Pizza is a joke. For a smallish (less than 10” diameter) pizza you will shell out over $13 USD. Even though the website (which is pretty well done for Afghanistan standards. But the website does have the ‘unforgivable sin’ of a loading .wav file with each page!) shows the pies as costing about $8 USD.

The quality was at the lower end of the scale and the order didn’t arrive correctly. For a place to specialize in pizza and then to make such a bad one, and charge so much for it is a recipe for disaster.

Note this was the pizzeria that was bombed just a few weeks before I came to Kabul. After eating there pizza, I’m guessing it wasn’t the Taliban that attacked it, but that it was a former customer!

All said and done, Everest gets the lowest spot in the restaurants here. And this is AFTER all the restaurants are reviewed, so that is really saying something!
