Other Notes: This place is set back from the main road and provides excellent security. The interior is done in a Faux post war theme. I’m not sure if the owner is doing this as a statement, as a parody, or just to be like so many American Chains with a “gimmick.” It does work well. However, the hard walls and “open” style makes it a little louder once it’s full of diners.
The food selection is normal steakhouse fare, which is impressive for Kabul. The appetizers were very good. I, of course, order the biggest piece of meat on the menu. I was disappointed with it over all. I don’t know how low I should lower my expectations for Afghanistan, but it just wasn’t cooked with anymore “flare” then a college student would cook in his dorm.
The bill was in line with most of the local places. There is a bar atmosphere and semi private dining rooms. It was not smoky, which was nice, but it does allow smoking inside.
There is a dart board, but I couldn’t find any takers for a match. | |
