The SOLA girls thank you
Sunday 2nd May, 2010First, if you don’t remember the originally story of the SOLA School, here is the link…

Since I posted that, so many of you have sent me items to donate for the girls that stay at the SOLA school. I finally got a chance to stop by and visit them again.
Their gratitude was nothing less than spectacular. In fact, I don’t think that they really were fully able to come to terms with just how generous you all have been. I had laptops, thumb drives, school supplies, health and beauty products, candy, toys, a printer, and a ton of other items. In fact, I almost needed another truck just to carry all the items.
I do want to make a small apology, the room we did the donations in didn’t have the best light and most of my pictures came out blurry. But I think I have a few here that clearly show just how much these items meant to the girls there. (Note, there are many more girls at the school, but I had to visit at a time that many of them were in other classes.)
One of the girls just returned from Texas where she graduated from the Texas Military Institute! She loved the school and is now trying to get a accepted to college. She impressed us both so much with her drive and focus. In fact, Ted, the founder of SOLA lets her run the place because she does such a great job of it!
I still need to go through all my pictures and I hope to be able to get the pictures to each person that donated to the girls (I can’t post them all here.)
Oh, expect a (hopefully) happy follow up story on the girl in the story "I am for sale, who will buy me?"
(Click here to read)I am for sale, Who will buy me?
But here are a few of the pictures that show just how overwhelmed they were.
(BTW, Lil' Sis, your sheep were a big hit!)
